Our founder Sriman.N.A.Ramachandra Raja, a leading industrialist and Philanthropist had a vision to promote quality technical education with practical exposure for the benefit of the rural women students of this area, with an ambition to empower them by, transforming them as technical professionals.
With this vision he had established N.A.Manjammal Polytechnic in the year 1985, exclusively for women, the first of its kind in this area. In the year of inception two programmes, suitable for women, in Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering were offered. Infact, it was the first self-financing Polytechnic College in Tamilnadu for women.
With introduction of Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme in the year 2004, this institution became co- educational. In the year 2005 Mechanical Engineering programme was also started. Now all these four programmes are being offered with a total intake of 270 students.
N.A.Manjammal Polytechnic college, right from inception continuous to provide quality technical education in the present campus with a sprawling area of about 22 acres in the Rajapalayam - Madurai national highway. We are committed to shape the future of all our students.

Our Polytechnic College was incepted in the year 1985 by Sriman N.A.Ramachandra Raja the founder and Correspondent for the first decade (1985 – 1995). Initially the Institution was a Women’s Polytechnic near Janaki Ram Mill Pvt.Ltd., Sakthi Nagar, Rajapalayam with 70 girls students and 10 staff members.
The motto of the founder was to educate poor students from rural area. So it began its service with two branches Civil Engineering & Electronics & Communication Engineering. We carried out a satisfactory service with these two branches for 18 years.
It was in 2003 we decided to extend our service and shifted our building to an area of 22.9 acres at Melapattam Karisalkulam. Then it added two more branches with co-education (Mechanical Engineering & Electrical & Electronics Engineering). Now we work full fledgedly educating nearly 800 students and 52 Staffs . Our Mission is,
